@7:11 AM

It was a tranquil morning. As soon as the school bell rang for dismissal, Aaron sprang up from his seat and chucked everything on his desk into his school bag. He trudged out of the school gate with his little sister, Angela, following closely behind. They were both dragging their heavy feet, reluctant to move as they were on their way to their Auntie’s funeral, located just below their flat. Their aunty, who had taken care of them since they were young, had suffered from lung cancer for the past few months and died just the day before yesterday. When they arrived, they dashed upstairs to the second floor and stepped into the house. They quickly took turns and got dressed into their black and white clothing.
“I’m going to help mum serve the drinks,” said Aaron solemnly to Angela, slamming the door behind him. Before Angela could even open her mouth, Aaron was already out of sight. Minutes later, when Angela was about to step out of the house, she heard a loud crash coming from downstairs. It sounded like a flower pot had just landed on someone’s head. She got very puzzled and headed towards the kitchen window to see what was going on. Her knees went weak. She trembled with fear and screamed. Aaron was lying on the ground, unconscious with blood oozing out from his forehead. Angela quickly rushed downstairs as quickly as her legs could carry her. By the time she reached the scene, all her relatives were already crowding around him.
“Someone call for the ambulance!” shouted Angela. One of her relatives, Uncle Abraham, quickly dialed 995. The cacophony of sirens reached Angela’s ears. Soon, the paramedics arrived and took Aaron to the hospital. Angela sat down on a chair and tried very hard to brush of the pessimistic thoughts from her mind. A few days passed. Soon, Aaron fell into a coma. He stayed in the hospital for about 2 months before he passed on to be with the Lord. Angela could never stop thinking about hi, as he was the greatest brother she ever had and no one could ever replace him, ever..
